Rodney Results

What a turn out for an inaugural tournament. Thanks to the Rodney Team (Judd Kennedy, Betty Mezenberge, and Louise Vanderloon), it was a tremendous success. Helpers Ken and Cyndi Lefaive and Bev Doyle kept the wheels turned in the right direction. And let’s not forget lunch all three days provided by Mississippi Mick. Yummy!

Although it was Betty and Louise’s inaugural tournament, they placed in both the amateur and open tournaments. The rest of us have to keep an eye on these two. Way to go, Ladies. 🙂

This tournament had the largest number of amateurs all season (22 amateur teams) and the second highest number of players in total (47 teams compared to Goderich’s 48 teams).

All of this was done on eight courts and everybody in attendance was absolutely terrific. We changed the format a bit to accommodate the byes and still ensure everybody played 4 to 5 games each. I think the byes may have added to the fun. Folks were willing to pay good money for them by the end of the day. lol.

Thanks everybody for playing along and having fun. I love watching people laugh and enjoy their day. 🙂
