Howdy … How y’all doin’?

On behalf of the International Shuffleboard Association I am honoured to say “Thanks” to Kathy Brennan, USA National Shuffleboard Association President, for hosting the 41st International Shuffleboard Association Championship in San Benito, Texas.

“Special Thanks” to Event Chair Coordinators Ann and Evan Engell for organizing and making the 41st ISA World Championship a huge success. Now I know why people say “Everything is Bigger in Texas”!!  Ann and Evan gave so much of themselves for 4 plus years to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. They and their volunteers did an outstanding job of making us feel welcome and comfortable all week. It takes a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to achieve such an outstanding accomplishment.

Thanks to Glenn Monroe our Tournament Director, Beth Allen our ISA Treasurer and Kevin Reedy our technical man for their work and support. Thanks to Allen Shuffleboard for their generous donation of 2 golden cues and much more.

Congratulations to Deb Baal and Mark Malatt for placing first and taking home the golden cues. Congratulations to all medal winners and to all participants who took part in this championship. Congratulations to 32 first time competitors who participated in this ISA Championship…..everyone’s a winner to be able to share love and friendship ties with friends from around the world. All participants are wonderful ambassadors for their respective countries.

Congratulations to our ISA Secretary Evelyn Rosetti who was inducted into the ISA Hall of Fame. She is most deserving of this prestigious award. Thank you Dieter Hussmann for nominating this lovely lady.

Thanks to Ann and Evan for creating the “Myrna Bilton Congeniality Award”. This was a pleasant surprise for me. “Thanks” is such a little word, but it is filled with warmth and love. It expresses my deep appreciation for your thoughtfulness. Congratulations to Teddy Wachholz for receiving this award.

The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been and memories we made along the way. Thank you, shuffleboard family for all the wonderful memories.
