NOTE: There may be some minor tweaks to these dates. This page will be updated as changes are made.
All shufflers are welcome to play at OSA tournaments. They are FUN and you will meet great people. Amateurs have their own one-day tournament on Day 1. Open tournaments are played on Day 2 with the top eight teams coming back for two “Finals” matches on Day 3. Both Amateurs and Experts can play in the open tournaments.
An individual who has reached enough points to become an Expert, State Amateur, State Pro, or equivalent to any of these, at any point in their shuffleboard experience, regardless of where this status was obtained and when it takes effect, cannot play as an amateur in OSA sanctioned tournaments. Those earning enough points in Ontario to become an expert may remain in Amateur for the balance of the season.
You must be a member of the OSA ($10/year and available at the tournament). All tournaments are “any doubles” meaning you must have a partner and none gender specific. Tournaments are $25/team per tournament (ie amateur and open are two separate tournaments). Registration is 8:00am to 8:30am on the day of the tournament with play starting at 9:00. There is no guarantee your entry will be accepted after 8:30am. There will be a lunch break at noon and play will end about 4:30pm on Days 1 and 2 (and about 1:00pm for those playing on Day 3).
We use a modified mingles format so that you will play four or five matches during the day.
We play with using the OSA Official Playing Rules.
If you need a partner, please go to the Partner-Needed page.
See Player Points to see how they are awarded.

Accommodations and Dining
This information will be updated in February. Below is the information provided for 2024.
Ingersoll – Comfort Inn or Elmhurst Inn. Tim Hortons is walking distance from the facilities. Lots of restaurants in the area including Chuck’s Roadhouse, St. Louis Pizza, Ingersoll Golf Course, etc. This is the only location Ann and I can drive to so I don’t have any experience in this area. Great news. Just learned there will be a food truck across the street, between 11:00am and 7:00pm, offering hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, and poutine.
Elora – Village Inn and a few chain motels/hotels. Lots of good restaurants in the area. We are booked at the Village Inn. Nothing to write home about but it has actually gotten better the last time or two we’ve been there. There’s a Timmie’s and Family Restaurant just up the street from there. They are unable to provide lunches this year.
Goderich – Ann and I have always stayed at the Bedford Inn. There are many good places in the area. We like the restaurant next door to the Bedford Inn too. There are lunch places within very short driving distances.
Coldwater – Parking for the tournament will be allowed behind the Curling Club on the grassy area. There is not hookup or dump facilities. Parking will be available from Monday July 28 to Friday August 1. Any questions, contact Bob Jones at (705) 543-9445.
Chatham – The Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Saxony Motel, Holiday Inn, next to the Casino are great places. Lots of good restaurants. The restaurant at the Casino has always been very good. Ann and I are booked at the Holiday Inn this year. You will need to bring your lunch to this place as there are not many “quick” places nearby.
Rodney – Accommodations include the Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn (30 minutes away) and two RV Parks: Lakewood RV Resort and Port Glasgow Trailer Park. There are restaurants in Rodney for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Shannon’s, Southside, Tim Hortons, and Out to Lunch and Sam’s Diner in nearby West Lorne. Ann and I are booked at the BWP Stoneridge this time. Their restaurant looks good too.
Click here to see the onsite menu choices. Yummy!
Here’s an additional note about Rodney from Judd: The Port Glasgow Trailer Park is run by the municipality and is a lot less $. You’ll hafta book as soon as possible…the transient sites fill quickly. Grocery store is in town, but no fuel here yet. Yes at West Lorne & Dutton. There will be either a food truck or the kitchen will be in full swing for lunches Tuesday & Wednesday & snacks, as far as I know at this time. Probably a local service group.
Blenheim – See the Chatham locations. CM Wilson Conservation Area is great for the RVers. Ann and I are booked at the Quality Inn. You can bring your lunch to this event but there is a Tim Horton’s, Subway, and McDonald’s between 1 and 3 kms from the courts. Blenheim has a fridge and microwave available for our use.
