Pre-paying memberships and pre-registrations

In order to streamline our events this year, I would like to do two things.

First, you must have an Ontario Shuffleboard Association membership to play in OSA tournaments. The annual fee is now $10. This is good for the 2025 season. Membership cards and OSA numbers from previous years are no longer valid. In order to eliminate some of the congestion during tournament registration, please consider e-transferring the money to me ahead of time along with your email address. I’ll send a confirmation email to you indicating receipt of the funds. You can pick up your membership card at the next tournament you attend. This applies to everybody who wants to play in tournament this year.

Second, for the Chatham Open Tournament on May 21 only, you must pre-registrations. The tournament fees are $25 per team this year. Please e-transfer the team entry fee to me along with an email indicating who your team is. In order to limit the number of byes, I am limiting the number of teams to the first 24 that pre-register. We only had 21 teams last year but I want to make sure we can handle the number of teams on the eight available courts. Even if you choose not to pay ahead of time, but wish to play, you must let me know ahead of time.

If we hit 24 teams, the registration will close. If we do not have 24 teams, you can still register at the tournament. Obviously, this carries risks, as you may not get to play.

For those playing in the Amateur Tournament on May 20, you too can pre-register. This will save time and congestion before the tournament starts. If pre-registered, you will only have to let me know when you arrive. Otherwise, registration for the Amateur Tournament will be like normal.

If folks cannot play for any reason, and they have already paid, they will be reimbursed in full. The opportunity to pre-pay your membership and our pre-register for tournaments this year is meant to make it easier for the organizers and faster for the participants on the mornings of.

My email address is evan@northshore.tax. E-transfer to this address. Use OSA as the password.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your help. 🙂

Can we pre-register for the Rodney tournament already?

Excellent question, Cyndi. Yes, you can pre-register and you can pre-pay if you want. The Rodney Open Tournament will be limited to 24 teams so you should pre-register. It’s the only way to reserve a spot. 🙂

The amateur tournament will be open to all amateurs. 🙂
