Chatham’s Glen Peltier Memorial Tournament Results

Check out the winners. Congrats to all. Click here to check them out

I have to say that this may have been the most fun tournament I’ve ever seen. With the 8 court limit, there were many folks sitting each round. What did they do? They sat around the fire tables and visited with each other like you would with family and friends at a campfire. Lots of laughter and fun.

The the 24 team limit and pre-registration for the Open Tournament, it was just the right number of games and byes. Every team played two games and sat once before lunch and again after lunch.

Thanks to those of you who prepaid your membership fees and registration fees. It streamlined the beginning of the tournament a lot. Many folks just had to pick up their tag with their team number. No standing in lines to pay. This will remain optional, and I encourage it to make it easier for the organizers and faster for the players, except for Rodney’s Open Tournament. Due to their 8 court limit, it will require pre-registration as well.

Congratulations to Trevor Martin for reaching his expert points in Ontario. Not an easy feat.

Also, the Open Finals came down to the exact same two teams with the exact same results as last year’s Open Finals. Four very tough players. Way to go. 🙂
