Fingers crossed for Goderich

Here’s a recent news article about the status of the Goderich shuffleboard venue. It has always been one of my favourite places to play. I like the club, I like the Bedford Inn. I like the gathering of 15 or more people on the sidewalk restaurant downstairs at least once each year. 100 shuffleboard members strong. Wow!!!

Maybe when the next town council meeting happens to debate the options for the community centre we should have as many people as possible that have used this facility show up in support of the community centre. Shuffleboarders, Lions Club members etc.

    …that’s better than a NO!

It’s pretty simple to get quotes from local contractors and supply places.

A lot of folks will jump at the opportunity to get their name out there. Offer them 5 or 10 years of advertising in/on the building for them doing their part in the restoration of this iconic building!! Just ask them face to face…not emails, texts or phone calls!

    Just my 2c…

So does this mean there is still a chance the Goderich tournament is still on

I have not heard the odds are 100% against them. I just know they are working hard at trying to host either here or at a different venue. I wouldn’t take it off the list but I wouldn’t book rooms or anything. I will let you know as soon as I know for sure either way. 🙂
