From Myrna re her achievement of gaining 35 points for eligibility to enter the Ontario Shuffleboard Association Hall Of fame:
All I wanted to do was “Represent my Country” and now I have achieved 35
points, that allows me to enter into the OSA Hall of Fame!!
With the encouragement of Lorraine Pollock I started to play tournaments in
Florida and Ontario. In 2008 I was honoured to represent Canada in the ISA
Tournament at Australia. Stan and Lois McCormack were our captains – again
more encouragement. That did it!! The shuffleboard bug had bitten me!!
My first tournament in Ontario was in Coldwater with my partner, husband
Rendall, and 8 years later in Coldwater, with my partner Roy Babcock, that I was
able to achieve 35 points – “Special Thanks Guys”.
I appreciate my many friends and partners that have joined me on my
shuffleboard journey. Without them, I would never have achieved this
accomplishment.
I want to encourage everyone to play shuffleboard and have fun meeting new
friends
“We are all winners to be able to play shuffleboard, and if it is our turn to win a
tournament, it is a bonus”.
With a grateful heart,
Myrna
