2024 OSA Schedule

Get your calendar out, Folks. We have a busy summer planned. Just carry your stick in your car all the time. You never know when a game may break out. 🙂

In all cases, amateurs play on the first day. Day two is the open tournament. Amateurs are welcome and encouraged to play in this tournament. Day 3 (half day) will be the finals of the open tournament for the top eight teams.

Tue May 28 to 30 – Ingersoll

Tue Jun 11 to 13 – Elora (with the AGM following play on Tuesday)

Wed Jun 26 to 28 – Goderich

Tue Jul 9 to 11 – Chatham

Tue Jul 23 to 25 – Rodney

Tue Aug 6 to 8 – Blenheim

I’ll get accommodation and dining recommendations posted shortly. 🙂

Coldwater didn’t feel they could do it anymore. They are going to take a year off and re-evaluate the situation.

How do we register to play in the Goderich Tournament the end of June?

Great question, Brenda and Brock. Registration is between 8:00am and 8:30am on the day of the tournament. There will be a table to purchase the $5/year annual OSA membership. Each person only needs one of these per year. There will be another table where you register for the tournament. Entry fees are $20/team. The Amateur Tournament on Day 1 is considered one tournament while the Open Tournament on Day 2 is considered a second tournament. Many amateurs play in the Open Tournament (and I’ve seen some of them win). Both tournaments will be fun and you will feel very welcome. We’re pretty relaxed and strive for a good day of shuffleboard. Goderich is a terrific venue. 🙂
